Tea With Nana is an online news site curated to deliver cultural, social, and political news, as well as arts and entertainment content. We also cover current affairs occurring in local African communities within the United States and the African continent. Furthermore, Tea With Nana seeks to give a voice to small, local, businesses and organizations within the Indiana and Chicagoland area by promoting events and volunteerism initiatives.
Founded in 2018 by aspiring journalist Nana Aduba-Amoah, Tea With Nana shares the founder’s past contributions to news publications such as the Journal Review, For Harriet, Chicago Sun-Times, and WGN News. Nana is a recent graduate of the Illinois Media school’s advanced media marketing program. She also has an M.A. in journalism from DePaul University and a B.A in Communications from DePauw University.
While in college, Nana was active in student newspaper organizations and wrote news, features, and investigative articles for DePauw University’s The DePauw newspaper, and DePaul Unviersity’s, The DePaulia. She also interned and wrote for magazine publications such as Premier Tourism Marketing Company in Willowbrook, IL, and In These Times magazine in Chicago, IL. Furthermore, Nana was a content editor for Sistas2Sister, a digital marketing brand promoting a start-up cosmetic company.
