(CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN) The Crawfordsville Armory is commemorating area soldiers who have served the country.
The National Guard Armory will present “Operation Rocket Blast,” an open house filled with military photographs, scrapbooks and newspaper articles from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 22.
Project Coordinator Deantha Wright-Thornburg said the goal of the presentation is to identify unknown soldiers in the photographs and organize the materials into a searchable format.
“We have hundreds of pictures with unidentified people,” she said. “We’re trying to put names to faces, we just need some help trying to collect them all at once.” Read more
